ANTHROPOLOGY IS NOW ON LINKEDIN!

Anthropology Alum Peter Luckow Named one of Forbes' 30 Under 30: Social Entrepreneurs

While a Northwestern undergraduate, Peter Luckow (WCAS '10) co-founded GlobeMed, a network of university students working toward global health equity that now has 46 chapters across the country. Peter majored in anthropology and worked closely with the Buffett Center to launch the GlobeMed Program.

Peter has since worked with Partners In Health and the Division of Global Health Equity at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. He now serves as Chief Operating Officer at Tiyatien Health ("Justice In Health"), a Liberian social justice organization that partners with rural communities to advance health care and the rights of the poor. Congratulations to Peter, a remarkable example of what Northwestern students can achieve.

Congratulations to Anthropology Major, Catherine Althaus, who is the winner of a $9,000 Circumnavigator Travel-Study Award!

Catherine (WCAS '14) will use this award to circle the globe for 10 weeks this summer exploring the ways in which museums in Australia, Israel, Peru, France and other nations treat human remains that are part of their collections. Read the RedEye article here.
